Antispyware

Spyware is the term used to define computer programs used to watch, monitor and follow the behavior or information of a user.

Although the term is fairly recent and it is still not widely used outside of computer circles, some of its effects or repercussions are surely more familiar:

Examples of the effects of Spyware programs are the Pop-Up windows, connections, links or strange icons that suddenly appear, unrequested, when visiting a website.
These may be perfectly well-intentioned programs, designed to monitor a user’s access to a website to determine commercial preferences. However, they may also be as dangerous as to steal confidential information such as Access Codes and personal data, and have it transmitted outside of the host equipment.
